The main characters in the book are Mr.Jones, Napoleon and Snowball. Mr.Jones was very harsh on the animals and made them work too hard and so the animals took over the farm. They changed the name of the farm from Manor Farm to Animal Farm. The animals needed a leader to guide them and so Napoleon,a wise horse took the reigns. However, the power went to his head and he started changing rules for his own benefit. A group of the animals thought that this was unfair and so overthrow him. The character who i liked in the book was Snowball. He was a small pig whose views were his own. He thought that Napoleon was treating some animals better than others and this was true. When Snowball confronted Napoleon, Napoleon denied it and started spreading rumours about Snowball trying to overthrow him. Snowball had no other choice other than leaving and from then on when something went wrong on the farm, they would blame Snowball.

Brooklyn
"Brooklyn" by Colm Tóibin is a very interesting tale of a young girl called Eilis struggling to find a job in Ireland. When the opportunity to move to Brooklyn arises Eilis grabs it she soon adapts herself to the hustle and bustle of the States."Brooklyn" is very true to life and has a very believable story-line.The characters develop well during the story.
Eilis Lacey is a young woman who is unable to find work in Ireland during the 1950s. Her older sister Rose organises a meeting with a priest called Father Flood who just came back from New York, he tells Eilis of the wonderful opportunities awaiting her in New York. Because of this she moves and lives in Brooklyn and takes up a job in a department store while taking night classes for a bookkeeping course. Working in a boring job and living in a boarding house run by the strict Ms Kehoe, makes her life seem very mundane and Eilis begins to doubt her initial decision. Letters from Rose and her Mother make her feel homesick, but she soon settles down.
Eilis meets an Italian plumber named Tony and they soon fall in love with each other. Months later Tony proposes to Eilis and she accepts. Eilis receives terrible news from Father Flood that her sister Rose has died. When she returns to Ireland she is reunited with her friends and family. She meets the man she was once interested in before she left, Jim and starts a brief relationship with him. Eilis's mother is desperate for her to stay in Ireland and marry Jim so she has to break the news to her mother that she is engaged to Tony. Eilis realises that she still loves Tony and returns back to America.
I really enjoyed reading "Brooklyn" and I rate it 8/10.

When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit by Judith Kerr
I liked Zwirn Gasthof, her Mother's hard work and Max's improvement in school work. I liked the Zwirn Gasthof because it was like a vacation resort with its stunning view and beautiful lake. It was also a great place for the family to relax without the threat of Adolf Hitler on their doorstep. I like her Mother's hard work because it meant the appartment was clean and neat for the children to do their study and homework. She also put plates of food in front of them even with the shortage of money and fixed tears in their clothes and bought new shoes for Anna.
I liked Max's improvement because they had sent him to Lycée for boys which was a French high school and it was costing their parents a large amount to send him there. Max's report at the end of the year had positive comments from all his teachers and it showed how people can change. I didn't like Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, the German family who stayed briefly at the Gasthof Zwirn and the French depression. I didn't like Adolf Hitler and the Nazis because they judged a person based on their religion and created concentration camps to torture them with their own frustration and also, he put a dark cloud on Germany from that point on.
I didn't like the French depression because it put so much pressure on Anna and her family who still had very little money to spare because of financial issues. It was set in Berlin, Germany then Zurich, Switzerland and it finishes in London, England. The storyline is when Anna and her family flee Germany because her Father openly critcised the Nazis and they were Jewish. I thought that this book was believable and I'd rate it 9.5/10.
Lola and The Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
'Lola and The Boy Next Door' is the fantastic sequel to 'Anna and The French Kiss', and is just as good. like the first book, it is an extremely funny, fast-paced, perfectly plotted novel. This book has you hungry for the next twist, and I found it very difficult to put down. The characters have a certain individuality to them which I loved. I felt myself getting to know them better and better as I read. The style of writing is flawless, and I loved every aspect of it. I rate this book 8/10.
This book is about Lola Nolan. Lola has everything going great for her, she's doing well in school, she has a place in a fashion design college, and she even has a tough twenty-something boyfriend by her side. But when Cricket and Calliope Bell return to the neighbourhood, Lola's head is swallowed up by crushing memories. What could have made Lola resent them so much? What will Lola do? Will she step up and finally face her fear?
A character I liked in the story was Calliope Bell. She was Cricket's twin sister, and a national champion figure skater. She had a very sour, negative, dry-humoured personality, and I'm surprised to say I absolutely loved her. She gave the story an unexplainable electricity, and I enjoyed the way she had all the best lines in this novel. Calliope definitely played a very important part in this novel .

Cherub: The Recruit
This book is really good. It is definitely a must read! It has everything you could ever wish for in a book. It is about a boy called James Adams, formerly James Choke. His mother was a major criminal. She died of obesity. James was sent to Nebraska house. His room mate Kyle was an undercover agent from Cherub. Kyle decided James was Cherub material and Cherub chose him to come. James had to go through 100 days of basic training. It is said to be the worst 100 days of your life. He went on a mission to Fort Harmony later on in the book. He caught anthrax while he was there. A character who I think changed in the text of the book was Kerry. She was James' partner for basic training. At the start of it she was being horrible to James, calling him fat, not helping him through the course which is what partners are supposed to do. They had a fight one time during the mud course on Christmas day. This nearly got them both disqualified. Then, Kerry shared her cereal bar with James. At that moment, we saw through Kerry's tough, strong appearance, we saw a girl who was just desperate to get through basic training and would to anything to get there. From then on, they both helped each other. I don't think they would have completed physical training without each other as a partner.
theodore boone the accused
I really recommend this book if you like action-filled books! Theodore Boone wants to be a lawyer and his parents are both lawyers. there has been an accused murder in his town and Theo was one of the people that helped solve the mystery, so he goes to watch the court case. During this,in his own life,he gets accused of stealing. He had been vandalized, things stolen from his locker, and been framed for a big theft! Overall i thought it was really interesting and a brilliant read.
The book is a crime story for kids. The atmosphere is typical of a crime story with suspense and unexpected ending.
No specific character changed but Theo at the end of the story became more aware of danger
s in his life
I'll Give You The Sun
"I'll Give You The Sun" is a real page-turner. Noah and Jude are inseparable twins who love art. They are as close as twins get, they're best friends. When a boy called Brian moves across the road from them. Brian is gorgeous and mysterious. Noah and Jude can't help falling for him, but when Brian moved in their lives took a turn for the worst. Their lives soon became a series of unfortunate events. This book is a great read. I give it 9/10. My favourite character in this book was Noah. Noah is a very down to earth person who wears his heart on his sleeves. Noah is artistically talented. He lives and breathes art! Everything he thinks of is thought of in an artistic way. When he sees a person he can see their personality. He mind sketches. If he sees something that would make a good picture he quickly sketches it in his head. He decides on peoples spirit animals. His neighbour Brian is a white Bengal tiger. Noah is interestingly and inspiringly artistic and creative.
Clockwork Prince
This book is the sequel to the clockwork angel by Cassandra Clare. Today I am reviewing the Clockwork Prince. The characters are all the same except at the end of the book Cecile,Will's little sister arrives and Charlotte tells everyone that she is pregnant. The story is quite good with everyone starting to have relationships. The setting is shown in a brighter light, so there are less dark and spooky descriptions. The story is a bit similar to the old one. Some of the twist of the plot were not as good as the old book. I rated this book a 7.5 out of 10.
A character that I think has changed in the book was Will. Will in the previous book was cold and mysterious and we always wonder what caused him to be like this. So its hard to get a sense of why he acts so cold and rude to people. In this book, we find out why he acts so coldly. When Will was still an apprentice shadow hunter, he caught a demon but before Will sent the demon to the demon world. He casts a curse saying ' all those who will love or like him will die'. So Will acts rude so no one will like him so they don't die. But in this book, Will learns the curse is fake and he tells Tessa everything.
"The Girl Who Soared Over Fairyland and cut the Moon in Two" is an amazing mix of old tales like "Alice in Wonderland" and "Wizard of Oz". The book immediately whisks you away to a land of fairies and adventures, from the very first four magical words "once upon a time". Valente's skill of story telling really shows in the text. The characters in the fantasy world are described so vividly that they seem almost real. Once you start reading you won't be able to turn away from the book. You are carried away into the story.
The message of the is
The book is a perfect choice for fairytale lovers. I rate it 10/10.

Soldier Dog Book Report
Soldier dog is about a boy called Stanely who lives on a farm and is dreading his time at home. His father has changed and has become more aggressive and less kind after Stanley's mother died and his brother left to go to war. One day Stanely let out his fathers prize dog when she was on heat and Stanely's dad became furious. Bitches are never the same after breeding, they cant race like before.
Stanely then runs away after his father killed the "impure" puppies of the race dog. Stanely enlists in the Dog Messenger Service because he wants to find his brother and stay with him until the war ends and is given a new dog. He was only fourteen when he enlisted. Because of this he was only given one dog instead of three because the commander didn't want him to be sent to war. Stanely eventually makes it to the the front lines and witnesses the horrors of war.
Overall this is a great book and I would recommend it to all teenagers.
THE OUTSIDERS
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton is the exciting tale of fourteen year old Ponyboy Curtis and his gang of greasers and how their lives had changed drastically over the coarse of a few weeks ranging from fights, getting drunk to even killing someone. the Outsiders is an amazing book that is easily relateable and incredibly interesting at the same time, i would easily rate this book 10/10 and would recommend it to nearly anyone. this book is about the Soc's and the Greasers and how drastically situations got out of hand because of one mistake.

Anna and the French Kiss
This is the perfect novel for any love-crazy teenagers that are looking for a fun read. It is filled with amazing, individually quirky characters and has a fantastic plot that has you desperate for the next twist or turn. Although this book is set in a slightly more unfamiliar setting, the reader quickly comes to love every aspect of it. The melodramatic storyline and characters make it a must read.
A character I liked in this novel was Etienne St Clair. I liked him because he was funny, treated all the other characters well and was genuinely nice. He was the character who was liked by everyone, which is interesting to read about in this exciting storyline.
A Girl Called Blue
Blue O'Malley, a young orphan, was left outside the orphanage at Larch Hill by her mother when she was just a baby. As she grew older she as always getting into trouble with the nuns and when she thinks life can't get any worse, her best friend drowns and is never found again. Blue never thought she would find happiness until she found a sixty year old woman and her thirty year old son, the Mooney family.
I think the character that changed in the book was Sister Regina. At the start of the book she was a bully to the children, she would hit them for no apparent reason and punish them for the smallest of things. She would also mutter hurtful words under her breath, knowing that the children would hear it, such as orphan.
By the end of the book she realized that what she was doing was wrong, thanks to a brave young girl who finally confronted her. After this incident, she decided she needed to be more like a mother than a bully to the children and so started complimenting them and let them have some fun.

the thorntwaite inheritance
I would like to recommend this book to anyone. The story is very complex and something interesting happens at nearly every page. I could never put the book down. It is very well written, funny and intriguing and with a very very unexpected ending! A must read! Alfred is the character who changed the most because at first he was nice and to be trusted but then he turned out to be the "bad guy". He was very capable of keeping everything a secret from the twins. He was so nice to them but all he wanted was the inheritance. The change in alfred was so surprising.
Rain: Rise Of The Dead by Shaun Harbinger
I liked Mike's outspoken mind, the group's tactical plans and The Big Easy. The reason I like Mike's outspoken mind is because Alex was prone to make bad decisions especially where he wanted to save Eric, but Mike intervened and discovered he was as crazy as a loon, but they lost Elena from it. I liked the group's tactical plans because finding a boat to sustain life on is smart because they can fish and use the wind to get them where they wanted. Also, when they ran from the soldiers and escaped in a land rover. I liked The Big Easy because it reminded me of home and I liked how it felt like the only home free from zombies. I didn't like the army, Eric's desperation and Lucy's curiosity. I didn't like the army and the soldiers because they had done nothing but force people out into the open where they were exposed to zombies like bait. I didn't like Eric's desperation because if they didn't let him into the boat mike was dead and if zombies swarmed in at low tide all of sudden they were dead because their only exit is gone. I didn't like Lucy's curiosity because they could have left The Hornet to drift along the sea but Lucy put Alex's life and her own on the line because of it. If she didn't explore it then Mike wouldn't have been held at gunpoint by Harper and they wouldn't have lost Mike because he wouldn't of seen Elena among the other zombies. He wouldn't of also felt obliged to put her to rest along with himself. At the start of the book it was set in Wales then Swansea and ended in Scottish waters. The story follows Alex a video gamer getting a taste of real life zombies. He and his friends Mike, Elena and Lucy who set out to survive the virus outbreak. The book wasn't believable but I'd still rate it 7/10.
