Cherub: The Recruit
This book is really good. It is definitely a must read! It has everything you could ever wish for in a book. It is about a boy called James Adams, formerly James Choke. His mother was a major criminal. She died of obesity. James was sent to Nebraska house. His room mate Kyle was an undercover agent from Cherub. Kyle decided James was Cherub material and Cherub chose him to come. James had to go through 100 days of basic training. It is said to be the worst 100 days of your life. He went on a mission to Fort Harmony later on in the book. He caught anthrax while he was there. A character who I think changed in the text of the book was Kerry. She was James' partner for basic training. At the start of it she was being horrible to James, calling him fat, not helping him through the course which is what partners are supposed to do. They had a fight one time during the mud course on Christmas day. This nearly got them both disqualified. Then, Kerry shared her cereal bar with James. At that moment, we saw through Kerry's tough, strong appearance, we saw a girl who was just desperate to get through basic training and would to anything to get there. From then on, they both helped each other. I don't think they would have completed physical training without each other as a partner.
