THE BUTTERFLY LION

This fast-paced book is about a young boy, Bertie Andrews who is obsessed with his white lion.  He was living in Africa and had to move to England for school. They sold the lion to the circus and he promised he'll see him again.  I'd recommend this book for kids ages 10-14 and I would give it a 8/10 rating.

I think a character who changed in the text was Morpurgo, qho at the start left school and and met granny.  At the beginning, he qwas shy and awkward around granny but as she started telling the story aboiut Bertie Andrews and drinking coffee they ere beginning to become friends.  Morpurgo listened and cared about what granny had to say.          By the end of everything he was OK to go back to school.               I think he just needed a small and cool break.

The Final Problem

This book was just fantastic."The Final Problem" is the last book in the "Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes", it is also the book where he faces Professor James Moriarty. This book was adapted for the episode "The Reichenbach Fall" on the TV series "Sherlock". I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Moriarty is Menacing and extremely intelligent and is definitely Holmes' equal. 10/10 I highly recommend it.

No characters seemed to change in this story. Holmes' was a bit more scared because of Moriarty. Watson was the same as he always is. Moriarty the same as he was introduced, "The Napoleon of Crime". He was creepy and you feared him. So only Holmes changed to become much less confident.

The Theme in this book is good versus evil but there is a sense of finality apparent also throughout the book. At the beginning of the book Watson talks about having a "heavy heart" while writing this and during the story giving the sense of finality and throughout the book they talk about Moriarty being Holmes' ultimate foe reflecting a theme of good versus evil.

The Maze Runner:The Scorch trials by James Dashner

This book is fantastic! You must be crazy if you haven't read it! It has everything you#d want in a book, action, drama, humour! It has an incredible, yet believable story line. Thomas, the main character and his best friends were put onto a desert, with no food or drink. And, no weapons! They soon realised they weren't the only people there, there were zombie-like creatures there with them. Also, a few other humans. They struggled to survive with zombies everywhere. They were ruthless. If you got bitten, within a week, the wound would have spread all through your body. A character who I thought changed in the book was Theresa. She was the only girl of the group. She seemed to be very loyal and trustworthy, only she wasn't! Thomas and Theresa always seemed to have a special connection after she passed out, she recognized Thomas. When the war was going on in the desert, the people who put them there came down to kill everyone, except Theresa. They protected her she was one of them! Thomas was devastated to find out that the woman he loved, was a murderer. She was taken away, to a safer place with the baddies, leaving her friends there to fight for their lives.

Thomas is new to the maze and wants to become a runner, even after seeing a griever. Grievers are like big mechanic spiders. A character called Ben gets stung and attacks Thomas.
